Let There Be No Divisions Among You

1 Corinthians 1:10-15 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

These verses directly relate to today’s churches. Today their are so many denominations which really could just be called divisions. This is a huge problem and is not of God but of Satan. I’m not going to say that everyone in a particular denomination such as baptist, lutheran, or methodist are not truly Christians or aren’t trying to seek the Lord, but there is a big problem with these sects of Christianity. The denominations cause the body of Christ, which is one body, to be divided and even pitted against each other saying, “I am of the baptist church, or I am of the methodist church.” But it is written, “. This way of thinking is what caused Paul the apostle to rebuke church in Corinth because they were divided saying “I am of Paul and I am of Apollos”. This should not be so and we are to all be one in Christ, none being better than the other. As the scriptures say: ‘Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things?” and “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”‘

We must worship God in Spirit and in truth. Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within us. Where we go, so should the kingdom of God. There is a great plague befalling the church of Jesus Christ. This plague is of those who still believe a church building is the true temple of God. I see Christians everywhere who act one way when they go to church but their lives are completely different the rest of the week. This should not be. We are to worship God in our bodies all day everyday. You wouldn’t go to church and say profane things, dress inappropriately, watch ungodly tv shows full of violence and sexuality and sin. You wouldn’t get drunk in a church building. So why do Christians think this is acceptable to do this in their daily lives? I had went to a church building for several weeks one time and it made me sick to see Christians immediately after the service, go and talk about stuff that has nothing to do with the Lord. This isn’t of itself bad, but it is like a switch was flipped immediately as church service ended and the people were back to their worldly lives focused on the things of this earth instead of things above. We as Christians must have God in all our thoughts as king David said in his psalms. We must realize that we are the temple of God and we must not defile his temple, lest he destroy us. The true born again believers of Jesus Christ, born of water and of the Spirit, are the church and we must live like we are in the temple of God all the day long. This is a large part of the eternal covenant Jesus made with us. He showed us great mysteries that the prophets of old desired greatly to hear. Jesus told us these things plainly. So why do we go back to the old ways which wasn’t how God intended us to live? We don’t need a priest to speak to God on our behalf and we don’t need a church building to worship God. But we can commune directly with God all day long.

The body of Christ is to be one body with one mind in the Lord. Every Christian denomination has false beliefs but those in the denominations tend to buy into those set of beliefs without seeking the Lord on their own. Everything a man teaches you, a Christian should take it to the Lord and diligently seek out the matter for an answer to see if its the truth. The Bible says that we need not that any man teach us but the Holy Ghost shall teach us all things. We live in a fast food society, where people have shortened attention spans and want everything instantly without diligently seeking the matter out on their own. This is what Daniel the prophet had written of when he said many shall go to and fro and knowledge shall be increased. Today their are so many false teachers and prophets that this is very dangerous. We all need to pray to have more patience and, when we don’t know something, we should not go looking around for a man to teach us, but we should wait for God to teach us. In the church buildings today, many people rely and trust solely in man and not the Lord as their teacher. It is true that God has appointed teachers and even now am I teaching with this blog post, but even I or the most holy of men can be wrong sometimes. But, if we trust in God alone, we will go to God about everything we have heard or learned, even if it was from a true man of God. Man can be wrong, but Jesus can never be wrong. So be followers of Jesus.

Jeremiah chapter 17 says, “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the water, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

Also, I will tell you that Martin Luther and the Reformation was a construct of the satanic ROMAN Catholic Church. The Catholic Church knew it could not eliminate Christianity through force as the true church only grows more rapidly in persecution. So, the Vatican appointed the agent of Satan, Martin Luther, to head up the false counter movement. This is was the Devil’s secret plan to divide and conquer the church through covert means. All the denominations carried over false beliefs and ideas from the mother church, Roman Catholicism.

Trust in God alone and have not respect for a persons status in society. Think of everything you believe with regards to the gospel and ask yourself if you learned it from man or if God personally gave you the understanding or revelation. Or if you learned it from man or from a denomination, did you inquire of God if it was the truth? Make this a way of life and you will do exploits in the Lord. Seek God out for all answers and you shall prosper beyond measure in the Lord.

And finally, please church, come together as one. Not as the world or the Catholic church would, but as Jesus Christ would. That we may worship God in spirit and in truth and dwell in the house of the Lord forever to behold his beauty. If we keep in remembrance that we are the temple of God, then we will truly understand how to live holy. In everything you do everyday, think if it would be okay to do what you are doing in the house of the Lord or if Jesus was right beside you? You would not do these things with the Lord with you, but the truth is that he lives in us, so how much do you think we grieve him when we defile our temples by ungodly deeds? In times of past ignorance God winked at this, but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:24-30)

1 Corinthians 6

13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
