Who is Jesus Christ?

It does not matter from what location in the world you are from or what your culture is, all on this earth have heard of the man Jesus Christ. Who was this person and why was he so significant? Why is he such an important person that billions of people in the world claim to follow him, many religions have been made in his name, many have died for his name, and many have killed in his name. He is so important that his life on this earth restarted our calendars some 2,000 years ago.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This is the time God created the heavens and the earth. Then the Word came down to earth and manifested in the flesh. This Word is Jesus Christ. He is the prophesied messiah from long ago who prophets of old foretold of his coming to be the savior of the world and set at liberty those in bondage (mental, physical and spiritual slavery). 2,000 years ago an Isrealite woman named Mary, engaged to Joseph, became pregnant. In a dream, an angel of the Lord came to Joseph and told him to not be afraid to take Mary as a wife because it was the Holy Ghost who had conceived the child and she shall bring forth a son to be named Jesus. This was to the fulfillment of prophecy that a virgin shall bring forth a son and he shall be called Emmanuel, which is interpreted, God is with us. This is who Jesus Christ is. He is God manifested in the flesh.

Jesus lived a perfect, holy and sinless life. His life on this earth defeated all evil and brought the world an eternal covenant or contract. He showed us how to live, how to treat others, how to think, how to act, how to pray, how to love, how to worship God, how to be free, and ultimately how to have life eternal. He was a man of sorrows who was rejected by his own people to the very point of him being beaten beyond recognition and crucified on a cross. It is because of his sacrifice that all that believe on him will have eternal life forever. It was the shedding of his perfect, holy and innocent blood that defeated all evil for good. There are spiritual laws that govern everything and the devil breaking the law by crucifying Jesus is what defeated the evil. Jesus deserved no evil to come to him but yet he bore the evil and the weight of the whole world when he was crucified and mocked on the cross. The Savior, our Lord, did this for us. Jesus said there is no greater love than to give your life up for another and this is exactly what the Lord did for the world that they may be freed from evil. On the third day after his crucifixion, he was raised from the dead into heaven and sits on the throne of God at his right hand. All power and dominion has been given to Jesus. He is King of kings, Lord of lords, and our high priest forever. This is the hope that we have in Jesus, if we believe on him, it is through his blood that we can have life and conquer all evil in our lives. This is the forgiveness of our sins and the washing away of all iniquity (sins). Believing in Jesus can set us free from all depression, anxiety, selfishness, pride, anger, sickness, pain, drugs, addictions, lusts, and all other things that people are slaves to. When Jesus died on the cross, the veil was torn and no longer do we need priest or prophets to speak for God or to God on our behalf. But now we can all come directly to the throne of God through the blood of Jesus and he will speak to us directly. It is the relationship of father and son that God so desires.

Do you want to know the heavenly Father? How can you explain love to someone who has never experienced it? Words alone can not do this. So is the Fathers love for us impossible to explain by words. If you truly want to know if Jesus is real and the Father in heaven is real and if his love for us is real, then all you have to do is ask and he will show you. It is that simple.
